The original Animotion version was recorded for their self-titled debut album, released in 1984. This version became a massive success, and it remains Animotion’s biggest hit.

“Obsession” is a mainstay on 1980s compilations and is featured in the 2002 video game Grand Theft Auto: Vice City as part of the New Wave radio station Wave 103.

So, I’ve been optimizing our caching of youtube videos on our network a bit, specifically around 720px and long term storage, and one of the video’s I’ve been testing is Haifisch, by Rammstein. I mean really, what else would make the testing bearable.

So, I was a bit perturbed when the doors opened in the first few seconds of the video and I thought I spotted something that just didn’t fit.

I thought that it’s a marvelous easter egg. Nicely done, once again Rammstein, and nicely done for a great new album too.
